Apparently Angel will be a big character as the cast includes Young Warren Worthington, Warren Worthington/Angel, and Warren Worthington, Sr. Vinnie Jones of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels fame will play Juggernaut. Hank McCoy/Beast will also appear, acted by Kelsey Grammer. I actually like Grammer a lot, despite Down Periscope, et. al. Frasier Crane is one of my favorite TV characters; Grammer brought true bathos to the role when those around him just spewed one-liners. I assume he’ll be in bulky blue furry suit (why are all the weird ones blue in X-Men?!?!) for most of the film, perhaps reading Shakespeare with bifocals while hanging upside down from the raftors of the X-Mansion. Should be fun. The incredible Olivia Williams (teacher from Rushmore) is playing the non-mutant friend of the X-Men, Dr. Moira MacTaggert.

My kendo martial arts group (Choyokan Kendo Dojo) does a demo during the Ginza Holiday Festival at the Midwest Buddhist Temple. Ginza weekend is early this year - the second weekend in August, not the third, to avoid the Air/Water Show noise and the traffic mess. It’s outdoors and a lot of fun; there’s great Japanese food, arts and crafts for sale, and cultural performances.
Our demonstration is Saturday, Aug. 14th @ 1:30PM and Sunday the 15th @ 4:10PM. I will be in the demonstartion on Sunday as I am busy on Saturday.

…me. Who else? I’ve been seeking my better half for a good long time, and a good portion of that time has been spent looking online.
